Samantha Pleet: SS14

After a very busy week, I'm just starting to catch up on all the goings on for fashion week. I always feel like the worst style blogger around this time because I just really don't care about high fashion that much and always wind up having other things going on durning fashion week. I do like to stay informed though and usually just look up all the collections online after it's over.

I really loved Samantha Pleet's colection. The pretty colors and easy silhouettes  makes it perfect for Spring and her attention to detail, like the twisted waistbands and hand drawn prints, really makes each piece a work art rather than just an article of clothing.

the last day of summer

Some of these photos came out a bit burry, which I wasn't happy with. I think leaving the comfort of my balcony for a very public place was a little too much.  Some kids were staring at me towards the end of this, so I absolutely was not going to retake any thing.  I'm really not great at being in front of the camera. I tense up as soon as I know anyone is looking at me. I'd much rather be behind it.

I really was happy with this outfit though. I was super excited to get this vintage skirt from Larkspur Shoppe.  It's the perfect end of Summer skirt and the fabric is fantastic! I definitely recommend checking out the shop. Alex and Meaghan (my old blogger friend!), who run it, both have an amazing eye for vintage and always stock the shop with wonderful things.  They have a super cute blog too!

madewell: wildly simple

If you ask anyone who knows me they will tell you that both my roommate and I are obsessed with Madewell.  Their fall catalogue does not disappoint.  Both the photos and their model, French music producer and model, Caroline de Maigret, have that effortlessly cool style that is Madewell's signature.  Each photo just makes me want to spend everyday this fall in jeans and a tee shirt, even though my office dress code will make that impossible.  And can we talk about the olive bag! I need that in my life.
